Azalea Festival blooms in Heilongtan Park until May 13

[InKunming--Kunming] The 16th Kunming Azalea Festival is held from March 15 to May 13 in Heilongtan Park (also named Black Dragon Pool Park) of Kunming. More than 350,000 azaleas bloom on Longquan hill and make it full of bright colors.

Various kinds of potted azalea are placed along the main road of Heilongtan Park, offering visitors a pleasant smell of spring when strolling in the garden. Heilongtan Park is one of the largest azalea parks in the southwest of China. From April, most of azaleas in Azalea Valley which covers an area of 100 mu (about 6.66 hectares) with more than 30 varieties will usher in its full-blooming period. At that time, colorful azalea, such as red, white, pink, and purple azalea will form a spectacular landscape of flowers.

While enjoying the blooming flowers, visitors can follow the official We-chat account of Kunming Heilongtan to participant in its mobile photography contest. In addition, every Saturday morning from March to May, wonderful performances will be staged to provide people with a joyful atmosphere.

Not only admiring azalea, Heilongtan park also has corn poppy, Chinese flowering crabapple, pansy, primula malacoides and so on, making everywhere of the park a gorgeous landscape.
