No. 2 Cherry blossom in Yuantong Zoo

Li Guangtian, a famous Chinese proser, published a prose named Hua Chao on People’s Daily in 1963, making the cherry blossom in Yuantong Zoo in Kunming city gain a good reputation both at home and abroad. The view also became one of the 18 representative sceneries in Kunming.

The cherry blossom often opens in every late February and lasts until the end of March. Usually, the most flowering period will appear around Women’s Day. Not only admiring flowers, tourists are able to enjoy delicious snacks in Yuantong Zoo.

No.3 Pear blossom in Wanxichong

Wanxichong pear garden is located in the suburb of Chenggong District. When spring comes, the pear trees bloom white petals, which just like an Chinese ancient poetry said “as if thousands of pear trees suddenly turn out in full blossom overnight in the spring breeze”.

The best time to admire pear bloosom is from March 16 to 23 every year. Wanxichong pear garden usually hold a “Wanxi pear blossom festival”. As breeze blowing, there will be several white petals falling down, looking like a unique “snow scene” of this spring city.
