Kunming welcomes citizens to ongoing National Fitness Carnival

[InKunming--Kunming] With the approaching of Spring Festival, 2018 Yunnan Provincial National Fitness Carnival kicked off at Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center on January 27th. Citizens could freely participate in sorts of interesting activities in the following 16 days, including fierce ice hockey, exciting racing, car camping and a host of events.

Sport dancing, fitness qigong, hip-hop, cheer-leading performance and other programs brought joys to the public after a short opening ceremony. Especially, the “Parents & Kids Running” has attracted more than 200 families to bath in the warm sunshine while running. All the children’s faces were filled with happy smiles as the game was done.

Archery field also drew a large crowd. The young and the old, all desired to have a try. “It is my first time to experience the thrill of archery. The bow is much heavier than I expected. I am very glad to have opportunity to play different stuff.”Mr. Yang happily said.

In addition, various sports including bubble football, rock climbing, car model, remote control racing cars, roller skating and others are pretty popular among citizens. “ It is a nice thing to play games with my daughter and other people, creating a lively atmosphere for the upcoming Spring Festival.”Miss Tu who took her daughter to take part in the activity pointed out that they had a great time together.

It is Yunnan Province Sports Bureau that has organized over 10 provincial sports associations and many sport clubs, forming a strong team with 5,000 people to present wonderful performances through activities.

In order to provide citizens with convenience, 4 specific bus lines have been operated to shuttle among Kunming Station, Kunming National Convention Center, South Coach Bus Station, Chenggong District and Kunming Dianchi International Convention and Exhibition Center. Besides, citizens could take bus K21, K22, K23, K26, K27, K51 to the destination as well.
