With a total investment of 150 million yuan and total area of 4,600 square meters, the Chinese Medicine park is divided into 5 pavilions introducing Chinese herbal medicine science, Chinese medicine in Yunnan, the history of Chinese medical skills, the history of Chinese medicine, and the medicine used by minority. Two walls show books and pictures about Chinese traditional medical skills, such as the classic medical book Huang Di Nei Jing, and main and collateral channels diagram (regarded as a network of passages, though which energy circulates) .

The history of Chinese medicine pavilion exhibits the development of Chinese medicine over the past 5,000 years. There is a large window with a lot of pictures and text descriptions in reflecting the rich development of pharmacopoeia in different dynasties. The pavilion shapes a miniature old-growth forest landscape, collecting more than 800 specimen of aquatic product, funguses, insect, minerals, animal and plant, in order to make visitors further know about rare medicinal materials.

”The Chinese Medicine park will showcase the history of Chinese medicine over the past 5,000 years with a scientific and interesting way. Integrating culture into landscape, telling history in reality, and making static text and dynamic video work closely together, the park will offer tourists a new experience of science education to inherit the profound Chinese medicine culture and to improve the skills of self-care and prevention of disease as well,” a staff from the park introduced.
