After burning in the leaves, the foods normally tastes delicate, savoury, sour and spicy. Broiled meat throws off an alluring fragrance of banana leaves.

People who have had the foods would not forget the foods’ special flavours.

For Hani women, they have handed down such a cooking way for over hundreds of years. All of them are masters of cooking wild foods.

Wild foods, picked from brooks or trees, are the most natural and original foods. Until now, some of Hani people in Yunnan still keep their primitive way of living, awaiting visitors to explore.
