Floods in Chiang Mai cause 1 Chinese dead

[InKunming--Sister Cities]  On September 7th, according to Thailand’s news media World Daily, a 26-year-old Chinese tourist was washed away by floods when she was hiking in the forest located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The other ten Chinese tourists and one local tour guide were minor injured.

At present, Thai police have already reported this accident to Chinese Consulate and hoped to get in touch with the bereaved family as soon as possible.

The decedent, Yang Boyang, and the other ten tourists entered the forest when guided by a Thai tour guid. However, flash floods led by a sudden heavy rain frightened them and Yang Boyang fell into the river accidently.

The police and rescue team immediately carried out rescue operation. Yang Boyang’s body was found 500 meters away from the place she had fallen.
