[InKunming--Yunnan] A cycling club named Yolanda Cycling Club in Yunnan has arranged many of its cyclers to cycle in several continents of the world. Six members of the club came to South America by plane to launch its new section of cycling on January 31st.
Until now, Jin Yonggang, a chief cycler of the club had cycled over 33,000 kilometers from April, 2015, respectively reached Asia, Europe, Africa, North America, and Oceania.
Jin Yonggang started his cycling in South America from Bogota, the capital of Columbia on November 28th, 2016. The other six members of the club are Qu Yan, Tang Tang, Zhang Jianrong, Jiang Aimei, Zhang Zhongxiao, and Tianhua. They would meet Jin Yonggang in Lima, the capital of Peru after their flight arrival.
South America is the most faraway continent from China. Namely, it takes about 35 hours to fly from China to South America. Ancient mysterious cultures on South America deeply attracted the members of Yunnan’s Yolanda Cycling Club and Yunnan people. Members from the club plan to cycle in South America for 25 days.To a certain extent, Jin Yonggang, and the other six members’ common cycling in South America represented Yunnan people’s image in foreign countries, showing Yunnan’s soft power. Their cycling in South America will enhance people-to-people communication in local areas.
