British Reed Exhibitions Group hopes to hold mineral expo in Kunming

[InKunming--Kunming]  Kunming deputy mayor Meng Qinghong met with Sun Gang, deputy director of Greater China Area of British Reed Exhibitions Group on April 14.

It is said that the meeting between the two parties mainly discussed about ways to promote development of exhibitions and development of mining industry technology and mining equipment in Kunming.

Sun Gang, on behalf of British Reed Exhibitions Group, expressed that their group hopes to hold Western China International Mining Exhibition in Kunming in November this year. Meng Qinghong introduced advantages of Kunming in fields of exhibition and mining industries to Sun Gang.

According to Sun Gang, exhibition industry in Kunming has become more and more mature. Last year, Kunming totally held over 400 exhibitions, among which China-South Asia Expo, Agriculture Expo, International Flora Expo, and Pu'er Tea International Expo were the main and important exhibitions.

It is known that Kunming is a frontier and gateway to South Asia and South-east Asia. Yunnan which covers 83% varieties of minerals in China and contains 143 minerals is a main mineral province in China. "Kunming owns very good conditions to hold mineral expo in the city, and warmly welcomes British Reed Exhibitions to invest in Kunming." Meng Qinghong said.

Sun Gang responded in the meeting: "Within western region of China, Kunming is the first choice of British Reed Exhibitions to hold mineral expo, due to its comprehensive advantages of climate and abundant mineral resources in the city. Wish Breed Exhibitions Group could hold China West Mineral Exposition in Kunming in November, with help and support of Kunming Government."
