Granfondo International Cycling Festival lands in Yunnan

[InKunming--Yunnan]  Granfondo Cycling Festival, an international level ultra endurance cycling race that is popular in the world especially in Europe, is about to land in Yunnan in November.

Full name of the festival crowned in Yunnan is 2014 Yunnan International Grandondo Cycling Festival. It is an important festival for cycling enthusiast to be held in the province for the first time.

Granfondo Cycling Festival was originated from Italy, having attracted thousands of participants to join in up to now. In Italian language, Granfondo means the longest distance or the greatest persistence. The festival was held in Switzerland, France, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, America and many other countries in succession.

This year, Granfondo Cycling Festival is to be conducted in five places of the Yunnan, namely Kunming, Yuxi, Chuxiong, Dali, Lijiang, from November 16 to 22. Among them, track along Fuxian Lake in Yuxi is the longest one within the cycling race, which attains 180 kilometers, While track in Chuxiong is the shortest one, achieving 40 kilometers.

During the race, 100 domestic cycling players and 60 foreign players will attend all competitions of the festival. Amateur cycling enthusiasts are also invited to take part into the race. They can choose to join in the whole race or just join in one stage of the race by themselves.

Right now, application channels are open to all cycling enthusiasts worldwide. Any intended person can register on, and take an opportunity to enjoy the festival in Yunnan.

Granfondo Cycling Festival organizer said that both men and women can register in the race. Players of different ages can join in corresponding competition groups. Road bikes and mountain bikes are both admitted to compete in the race.
