Enjoy slow pace of life by taking green trains in Yunnan

[InKunming--Yunnan]  Traditional green trains have gradually vanished from people’s sights in cities, as our society saw great development on economy and transportation in past few decades. Green trains have become a symbol to cherish a memory of old days for the urbanite. They also become an optimal way to reduce pressure from rapid pace of life.

This July, Kunming Railway Bureau specifically launched 3 pairs of green trains and optimized their courses. After optimization, these trains pass by western Yunnan, eastern Yunnan and northeast Yunnan respectively, with different kinds of beautiful sceneries along the way.

The 3 pairs of green trains connect Kunming with Panzhihua (攀枝花) of Sichuan Province, Hongguo (红果) of Guizhou Province, and Liupanshui (六盘水) of Guizhou Province respectively. Trains stop in every small rail stops when they pass by, for meeting travel demands of people who live along the courses.

Trains connecting Kunming and Panzhihua, No. 6162 and No. 6161 in number, pass by Kunming, Lvfeng, Heijin, Yunanmou, etc. The route is also crowned as the most important milestone of China’s railway construction. Tourists can enjoy peace in Heijin and explore the mysterious Dinosaur Valley along the way.

Trains connecting Kunming and Hongguo, No.7452 and No. 7451 in number, pass by Yiliang (宜良), Shilin (石林), Luliang (陆良), Shizong (师宗), Luoping (罗平), Hongguo (红果), etc., which are all famous tourist destinations.

Beautiful landscapes such as terraced fields, waterfalls, phanerozoic microorganism, karst landforms, colored sand sculptures, etc., can be seen along this route. It will also pass by Jiazhuqing Tunnel (家竹箐隧道), which is 4,975 meters long and renowned as the most arduous tunnel in the world.

Trains connecting Kunming and Liupanshui, in shift number No. 6062 and No.6061, pass by Qujing, Fuyuan and other cities in northeast of Yunnan. Various kinds of delicate foods are distributed along the way.

Green trains are featured with tardiness, which contribute to make them become unique sceneries in society nowadays. They may step down from the stage of history in future, but people will never forget the slow pace of life they had brought to us.
