5.6 tons of Yiliang roast duck exported to Myanmar

A batch of soft cans containing Yiliang roast duck in a weight of 5.6 tons was exported to Myanmar, reported by Yunnan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau recently. It was the first time that poultry cans in the form of general trade were exported from Yunnan province.

This batch of roast duck completely verified and passed by the bureau was totally worth 162,000 yuan.

Roast duck, as a specialty of Yiliang county, has over 600 years' history. It is a kind of traditional dish renowned in Yunnan province.

In 2013, Yiliang county has a breeding stock of 10,180,000 ducks and 12,000 local villagers are engaging in duck-raising.

The export of roast duck could not only increase farmers' incomes, but also promotes economic development in the county.
