Liu Quan is introducing 4G technology to journalists.

A conference participant is reading a file about 4G technology.

Since the 4G internet service has been introduced in Yunnan in May, the speed of mobile phones could be largely improved dozens of times compared that with 3G service.

The downloading speed of the 4G network could reach 70M-100M per second, which is obviously quicker than the old internet speed.

Yunnan is likely to gain its 4G Long Term Evolution(LTE) network at the end of this year, said by Liu Quan, deputy manager of data division of Yunnan branch office affiliated to China Mobile Limited Co. at the 2013 Yunnan Internet Conference.

During the conference, 4G technology becomes a focus heatedly discussed by participants. "We will initially launch the 4G technology at about 10,000 base stations in Yunnan, where its capital city Kunming occupies 50% of the base stations."

"With an investment of 5 billion yuan, we are currently occupied with the equipment and technology system installation that will be completed soon."
