Yunnan Airport Group apologizes over flight delays

Yunnan Airport Group Co., LTD apologizes to passengers for the massive flight delays at Kunming Changshui International Airport in a public letter on January 7.

The letter says that affected by the dense fog, a total of 440 flights were canceled and about 20,000 passengers of 716 flights were trapped in the airport.

The operation time of the airport is not long, and pre-arranged plannings for the massive delays are imperfect. Staff's mergency security on the overloaded condition is inexperienced. The adjustments of flights have not been announced timely. Services related to catering, heating, health care, hotel and traffic have not been provided timely and sufficiently. All these have caused chaos and provoked tensions at the airport. Thus, staff members feel deeply sorry and apology for passengers sincerely.

It is also said in the letter that the airport is ready to accept advices and criticism from the public so as to provide passengers with fast and efficient service. (Editor:Lynn)
