Without wings, he flies with his wheels. As for Alex, bicycle motocross is a part of his life. "I like taking my courage in both hands, and I also like fashion. I think my life can not be ordinary, that's why I chose bicycle motocross."

In 2006 when few people heard about the bicycle motocross in Kunming, Alex has fallen in love with the sport which enables him to ride and race freely. "It is cool to play on it with some acrobatics. I guess girls admire anyone good at it. However, I play alone. Wherever I go, I prefer the sloping fields, roads blocked with balustrades or stairs."

Bicycle motocross or BMX is the sport of racing bicycles in motocross style on tracks which use an inline start and have obstacles, and also refers to the bicycle itself, which is designed for dirt and motocross cycling. BMX began in the early 1970s when children began racing their bicycles on dirt tracks in southern California, inspired by the motocross stars of the time. The size and availability of the Schwinn Sting-Ray and other wheelie bikes made them the natural bike of choice for these races, since they were easily customized for better handling and performance.

Alex introduced that:"Both sides of a wheel is equipped with metal tubes which enable riders to perform with various poses and actions. I can jump higher on it than on a skateboard, which is much more exciting." "It calls for spirits of adventure, vanguard and treacher. Even if fall down or even fail, I must move on even."

"I perform on it to my heart's content as the speed ratio (size difference between the front and rear gears) is high. Actually, I feel extremely free when riding on it, because I can see the beautiful sceneries, faces in the metropolis and blue sky on the way. That's great! If I meet an obstacle, I will jump over it. Besides, I have never been trapped in a traffic jam. Different from taking a car, I never feel being restrained. "

As to equipments for performance, Alex takes delight in talking about the shoes which, in his eyes, are most important.

Alex wanted to be distinct from others since he was a boy. When his classmates were addicted to popular music during high school, he was intrigued by rock. Depending on his good English skills, he earned about 5,000 yuan per month during his college time by translating and taking part-time jobs as a tutor.

Now Alex is running his own business engaging in the spare parts of the bicycle motocross in Lijiang, a well-known tourist destination in Yunnan. "Paving a road is hard, but I hope to introduce others things I am fond of."
