Pear picking festival to be launched on Sep 14

The pear trees have been fruitful in Wangxichong ,Chenggong District, Kunming. A pear picking festival will be started on September 14 and last to the end of October.

The Baozhu Pear in Chenggong boasts its good taste. The pear orchard in Wangxichong is the largest base for cultivation and producing fo Baozhu Pear in Kunming. An official in the village said that affected by natural disaster this year, the output of the pear is two thirds of that last year, however, the fruit tastes sweeter than before.

Tourists can pick the pear in the orchards and the price is 8 yuan for one kilogram. Then the special meals can be served in some rural inns: 30 yuan for one adult and 20 yuan for a kid.

Self-driving route: North Caiyun Road--Yunnan University--East Outer Ring South Road--Shilijincheng Residential Quarter--Tianshuijiayuan Residential Quarter--Orchards

Bus Lines: take No. 170 bus to Yunnan Nationalities University in Chonggong Campus. Transfer the No. 223 bus to the orchard.
