The largest prayer wheel in the world is seen in Yubeng village.

Yubeng is a small village situated at the foot of Meri Snow Mountain in Deqin County of Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, northwest Yunnan Province. Due to its geographic location, Yubeng is a sparsely-populated village with only about 20 tibetan households living there. Surrounded by mountains on both sides, there is only one courier route connecting with the outside world, which makes the village a epitome of Shangri-La.

Waterfalls near the village has always been regarded as a holy land for Buddhist pilgrimage. Thousands of pilgrims from Sichuan Province, Qinghai province, Gansu Province etc come all the way to worship deities in Buddhism every year.

TIPS:

1. Best time for travel: From April to June, or from September to November.

It is better not to travel to there in rainy season and in winter, for the snowslide would happen occasionally during these period. One should get specific knowledge of the weather situation before a trip.

2. For there is only one way connecting with the outside world in the village, one can only choose to hike or ride horse for 18 kilometers and then climb over a bealock with an elevation of 3700 meters.
