"Black tea festival" to be held at Fengqing County, Lincang

The First Fengqing (China) Black Tea Festival will be held from May 4 to 10 in Fengqing County, Lincang City, southwest China’s Yunnan Province.

Events, such as sacrifice ceremony, tea-leaves picking, and exhibition of black tea, appraisal and selection of black tea will be organized. So far, more than one hundred enterprises have applied to take part in the exhibition.

Enjoying a long history of tea cultivation and making, Fengqing is one of the birth places of Yunnan black teas and Pu’er Tea. So far, tea gardens in Fengqing cover a land of 300,000 mu, ranking the third in China. With an annual output of more than 20,000 tons, Fengqing is also one of the largest tea counties in China.
