Charity dance performance in Chiang Mai

Two rounds of Ramayana and Aladdin 2012 will be staged at Kad Theatre of Kad Suan Kaew in Chiang Mai on Sun, March 25 at 1:30pm and 7pm.

The Chiang Mai Ballet Academy will be staging Ramayana and Aladdin 2012 as part of the 10th Charity Musical Dance Play at Kad Theatre in Chiang Mai on Sun, March 25 at 1:30pm and 7pm.

Two rounds of Ramayana and Aladdin 2012 will be staged at Kad Theatre of Kad Suan Kaew in Chiang Mai on Sun, March 25 at 1:30pm and 7pm.

Held in collaboration with the Chiang Mai Ballet Parents & Teachers Association, the performance will treat audiences to various styles of dance, such as classical ballet, jazz, modern, Thai contemporary, Latin dance, hip hop and flamenco.

The show will be performed by more than 400 students from the academy, along with ML Preeyapun Sridhavat, an Asia-Pacific Inspired Woman Award winner in the Art Category 2002 from Singapore as artistic director.

The main cast comprise foreign and Thai ballet dancers who have won first-prize from many international dance competitions in Asia, Australia, Europe and the US, including Shan del Vecchio, Somsupa Sangrat and Paptawan Rattana. Appearing as special guest will be baritone singer Narach Kitavadhana.

Audiences are also encouraged to wear shades of pink as a symbol of support for HM the King, and there will be plane tickets as door prizes drawn. Other prizes include accommodation at 5-star hotels, as well as Chiang Mai City's best restaurants for the best dressed guests in pink, which will be awarded at the end of each show.

Proceeds will go to the Friends in Need (of Princess Pa) Volunteers Foundation, Thai Red Cross Society.
