Since its premiere in 1877, Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake" has become one of the most revered of classical ballets. Last night, 55 dancers from Russian National Ballet have presented the classic ballet Swan Lake at the Yunnan Arts Theatre in Kunming.

The 2-hour performance was divided into four chapters and won thunderous applause from the audience.

An audience surnamed Wang said: "The performance was the most wonderful and surprising experience that I have ever seen." He hopes that such elegant performance arts can often be seen in Kunming.

The Russian National Ballet was founded in the 1980’s with the help and support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. Consisting of great dancers and choreographers from the Soviet Union, these dancers started to exercise their creativity.
