Stardom is on the horizon for two Wagga students who have been busy juggling rehearsals with study for this year's School Spectacular at the Sydney Entertainment Centre.

Nathan Lamont, 18, and Stephanie Wall, 16, both received feature artist roles in the statewide performance which draws crowds of 10,000.

Mr Lamont, who just graduated from Mount Austin High School, will be performing a song he wrote himself.

"It's called Cinderella Chasing and I wrote it for my girlfriend," he said.

"It is about trying to find a girl better than reality."

He is also being mentored by country music legend Keith Urban, who started working with him in April this year.

"We send emails back and forth and I ask for advice and comments on my songs."

Miss Wall is in year 10 at Wagga High School and said the experience of performing at the Spectacular was beyond words.

"My favourite bit is that moment just before you perform, where the crowd is out there; it is unimaginable," she said.

The Schools Spectacular will be held on Friday and Saturday, November 25 and 26.
