More cooperation expected between Yunnan, Sri Lanka

Li Jiheng(李纪恒), the acting governor of Yunnan Province, met with Sri Lankan ambassador.

Li expressed his welcome to the ambassador and said that Yunnan has developed long friendly relations with Sri Lanka. In the recent years, exchanges between bilateral senior officials have been enhanced, which has boosted the bilateral cooperation on trades, tourism, energy and aviation. Yunnan is abundant in beautiful sceneries and colorful ethnic groups. There is a great many similarities and complementarities in tourism between Yunnan and Sri Lanka. Cooperation on trade, tourism, mineral, education and communication is expected to be developed.

Sri Lankan ambassador said that he is pleased to notice the economic development in Yunnan. Activities in different domains are expected to hold with Yunnan. Two cities' relations and cooperation on tourism are expected to be enhanced. (Editor:Lynn)
