The 4th Kunming Seagull Festival was closed in Kunming on January 18, 2011. During the 30-day event, many people have learned a lot about protection for seagulls.

Since 1985, seagulls have migrated from Siberia to Kunming every winter year, which makes Kunming the ‘second home’ for seagulls. They take advantages of the improving environment and people's increasing awareness of the need to take care of the birds.
