It is introduced by director of the Yunnan Provincial Health Bureau Chen Juemin(陈觉民) that 750 thousand doses of A/H1N1 flu vaccine have been transported to Kunming on October 9 and will be allocated across Yunnan Province.
Six hundred thousand doses of these will be allocated according to the incidence and population of every prefecture (city). And the other 150 thousand doses will be allocated to the high exposure groups, such as police, staff of airport and wharfs. The practice of shots is a voluntary one based on informed choice and adverse reaction will be monitored.
Clustered cases of A/H1N1 flu have been confirmed in Yunnan recently. Together there are 414 cases being confirmed and 259 of them have been discharged from the hospital, while the 155 patients who are in hospital for treatment and isolation are said to be in a stable condition.
