It is learned from Yunnan Zhong Ju Petro Chemistry that “South Asian Gate”, the first launched project in core area of Kunming CBD and the tallest structure ever in Kunming, will officially start construction on December 19th, 2008. A 316-meter tall, 72-story landmark structure of Kunming is going to be erected after four years.

“South Asian Gate”, a construction project of Jiangsu World Group after its successful development of Suzhou East Gate (278 meters tall), is co-operated with Yunnan Zhong Ju Petro Chemistry. This project, which situated at 78 Tuodong Road of Kunming, has Tuodong Road to its south, Baita Road to its west and Shangyi Street to its north, is in the core area of Kunming CBD.

South Asian Gate takes a land area of 34,500 square meters with a total construction area of 550,000 square meters. It contains platinum five-star hotel, apartment-hotel, 5A offices, residential apartments, commercial area, leisure and entertainment area, etc.

As a figure project in Kunming, South Asian Gate takes more attention of the Municipal Party Committee and Government, according to sources. On November 3rd, the developer of “South Asian Gate” brought six conceptional blueprints from well-known foreign and domestic architectural agencies to Kunming Urban Planning and Major Programs Briefing Meeting. On December 2nd, the project has been past and announced by Kunming Planning Bureau via the 174th administrative approval announcement. The project is at last ready to be constructed.
