Newest Chinese zodiac stamps issued in Yunnan

[InKunming--Kunming] The newest Chinese zodiac stamps, which are themed on pig, one of the twelve animals in Chinese zodiac, were issued by China Post Group Corporation in Yunnan in January. 

Publication and distribution of the Chinese zodiac stamps, is a tradition that was kept by China Post Group Corporation for decades of years. The animal images printed on the stamps represent circles of Chinese zodiac.

Each year when Chinese Spring Festival begins, a new start and a new image of zodiac animals comes out. According to Chinese lunar year’s sorting, Chinese Spring Festival in 2019 starts with the pig zodiac. 

The pig zodiac, ranked the twelfth animal within Chinese zodiac sorting, stands for a power that collects all things on earth. After it, a new circle of Chinese zodiac begins.

Chinese renowned artist Han Meilin designed pig images on the stamps. The one-pig stamp means pursuit of a better life, and the five-pigs stamp means five blessings arriving. 

Chinese people are used to buying Chinese zodiac stamps, since they expect better and happier life in the newly coming lunar year. One set of the newest zodiac stamps containing one-pig stamp and five-pigs cost 2.4 yuan, and a booklet of zodiac stamps that contain more animal zodiac images cost 12 yuan.

All of the newest zodiac stamps could be bought at 16 branches of China Post Group Corporation in Yunnan. Any person who is interested in the stamps had better buy them as soon as possible in avoid of stockout.
