[InKunming--Yunnan] 108 meters high and 1,000 tons weighty, Yunnan's biggest Ferris wheel "the Eye of Dianchi" was lit up in Kunming last night, witnessed by 18 couples of sweet lovers.

Ferris wheel "the Eye of Dianchi" is designed according to a concept that a peacock spreads its tail, highlighting Yunnan characteristic. More than 51,000 lamps were used on the wheel to create a significant landscape, making it the most amazing "Pearl" along Dianchi Lake.

It is said that 8 fixed columns of the Ferris wheel were installed by 20 large cranes. 56 hanging boxes which can accept 336 people at the same time are arranged on the wheel. The wheel normally takes 21 minutes to turn a circle when it starts operation.

It is noteworthy that workers could not hear any noise when sitting on the Ferris wheel in the early stage of debugging. Namely, citizens could enjoy a quiet time to admire the scenery of Dianchi Lake by taking the Ferris wheel.

The Ferris wheel and Wonderful Yunnan&Ancient Dian Kingdom Park will be opened to the public simultaneously on July 5th. Those who are interested could take time to go and enjoy.
